If it weren't for college, I'd still be living with my parents.

I still am, and they seem perfectly content with me being here. I plan on trying to get out once I finish my master's though. I know they won't be too thrilled (my dad, mainly) if I high-tail it out of here at 23.

I'm glad I moved out of my parent's place when I did. Seems every time I visit them nowadays that they're just struggling with problem after problem as they try to sell our old house and survive this sh!t economy. Had I not moved, I'd be right in the middle of all of it.

Yeah, I still pop in here. I do see some of you guys over at facebook, though I'm not sure I've even match up all your real names Wink

Also, the fact that some of you have graduated college is making ME feel really old. That and the fact that I'm soon to become a Great Uncle... My how time flies!

Enjoy whatever stage of life you are at!

I will NEVER miss high school, good god that place was drama heaven and way too stressful and just stupid. I hated high school so much, which is why I LOVE college.

You should've all tried Not Giving A F***. I've tried it, and I've received optimal results.

THIS has always scared me D:

doesn't scare me. get your priorities right, try and live as frugally as possible, don't spend outside your means, and you'll be fine as long as you can remain employed or at least maintain a steady income.

basically i'm ready to gtfo of my house and be on my own. once i get my whole package of stuff it'll be easy living. housing stipend, book stipend, tuition paid, gas for transport to the base paid, money coming in once a month n then a 2week stint a year. i'll get even more secure once i get my degree and (hopefully) get into an officers position (3x the pay? oh yay!) and/or the opportunities of deployments and additional trainings to give me more experiences and such.

i do not miss highschool, but i'm not exactly excited for college either. from all the people i know from my class n my old school's class, the first year feels like high school with more drinking, more parties, and less annoying parents/faculty. i dont plan on putting up with any sort of highschoolish behavior when i get there from the people i'm around. i'm gonna demand maturity.

Interesting, I agree with the other people. I miss the carefree lifestyle that came with being young. Once you factor in a family and stuff, life comes at you fast.

College is alright, I outgrew all the college partying stuff before I started though.

Xavier, was that the Reserves you were talking about? That should be interesting.

I guess it depends on how college goes for you. For me, even though I have a lot of responsibilities, I still don't have to worry about a lot of things (like rent, food, etc.). It's a sort of "in-between" time between youth and adulthood that I really love. I know that once I graduate an get a job, that the real world sets in and I won't be able to have as much fun.

I'm not the partying type though, I haven't been to one party since I started college (I'm a senior now), but I'm having a blast.
